SUMMER CAMPS

Summer camp options are offered to the children who are currently enrolled in the 3-Year-Old Program and the Pre-K 4’s and 5’s Programs at Dilworthtown Christian Preschool. These camps are scheduled for the first two weeks in June and are in addition to our regular school calendar. These week-long, theme based camps, have been challenging, enriching, and lots of fun! Some of the past themes were, “Camp of Champions” (Olympic theme), “Around the World in Five Days”, and “What’s Cooking in the Lab” (science and experiments). Please view some photos of summer camp fun.

ART ENRICHMENT EXTENDED DAY

The Art Enrichment/Extended Day option is an adventure in art to expose your child to a variety of hands on techniques and to create a love and appreciation of art. This program is currently offered to our Pre-K children on Fridays. Morning classes will extend their day until 2:00 pm and afternoon classes will begin their day at 10:00 am. Within this time period, the children will have a half hour lunch break as well as time for creative movement.

Following the six week sessions, the children host an Art Show which show-cases their wonderful works of art. Please preview some photos from an art show.

THANKSGIVING ACTIVITIES

Thanksgiving at Bethlehem Christian Preschool of Thornton is celebrated with special activities and feasts in all classes. The Pre-K classes were exceptionally thankful to have a visit from a pilgrim who shared with them the experiences she and the pilgrims had coming to America. She shared how hard life was and how they lived and survived. The children could investigate and look at interesting foods. They could also crush corn with a rock to make corn meal and mush cranberries. The pilgrim also brought animal skins to touch, and pilgrim games to play. Another highlight was meeting Tom Turkey, learning interesting facts about turkeys, and having the opportunity to pet Tom. All the children agreed how soft he felt!
